Leslye Solomon is a gifted teacher. With this DVD, she has successfully turned sock knitting on a single circular needle into something that even a beginner will find easy to understand, and she’s likely to convince many longtime sock knitters to put away those double-pointed needles too. In fact, beginners may want to skip the traditional method altogether and use this one right from the start. In case you’re skeptical, there is no need to be. Leslye does a fabulous job of explaining each step. If you turn off the sound and simply watch her hands, you’ll still understand how to knit socks on a circular needle.That’s how good she is. You can apply the technique to other kinds of projects too — hats, sleeves, and neckbands, for example. Leslye also demonstrates how to convert a sock pattern to the new needle method. A peek at the photo on the cover of the DVD will give you an idea of how the method works even before you head to your screen. When learning from Leslye via DVD, you can start your class in the middle of the night or on Saturday at six in the morning. You can replay portions of the DVD as many times as you want, seeing and hearing the information again and again. Invite some knitting friends to share the fun — you can learn together and admire each other’s beautiful new socks!
