This jacket is worked in one piece to underarms then divided for Fronts and Back. Back and Fronts are then worked separately to shaped shoulders.

DESIGNER NOTES

• 3-st Tuck Rib sections of Cable and Tuck Rib (lower edge and Collar) are worked in St st, then sts are dropped and reformed after working Lower band and Collar.

■ Cables turn toward center Fronts; direction reverses at center Back.

■ Markers are placed for center Back cable and sides. It may be helpful to pm after ea rep of patt, using different color markers.

STITCH GLOSSARY Short Row Shaping

Work the number of sts indicated in the instructions, wrp-t; return to starting point. Work progressively longer/shorter rows as indicated in the instructions. Work wraps together with wrapped sts as you come to them, as follows: Insert RH ndl into wrap at base of
wrapped st from beneath, then bring RH ndl up and into st on LH ndl, ready to work the st; knit (or purl) wrap and st tog.




Wrap and Turn (wrp-t)

Using circ ndl, slip first st, ‘using crochet hook or latch hook, insert hook into st above CO below next st, drop st and ladder down to hook, [go under 2 bars and pull second bar through to the front] 11 times, place last st on RH ndl, si 1; rep from * * once [3 sts worked in Tuck Rib]. up and K92 (96,100,104,108) sts evenly up center Front to beg of neck shaping. Next row (WS): Beg St st; knit 4 rows, end after RSR. Next (turning) row (WS): Knit. Next row (RS): Cont in St st, work 4 rows. Next row (RS): BO all sts. Fold band to WS and slip st in place along pick-up row.

Left Front Band

With RS facing, beg at Left Front neck edge, pick up and work as for Right Front Band. Using yarn needle, weave in all ends. Install zipper.
