BACK:
With straight ndls, CO 68 (72, 76) sts. K 2 rows. Beg St st. Work 4 rows.
Shape Body (RS):
Dec 1 st each end this row, then every 6 rows 2 times, then every 4 rows 3 times – 56 (60, 64) sts. Work even for 1 in., ending with a WSR. RS: Inc 1 st each end this row, then every 6 rows 5 times – 68 (72, 76) sts. Work even until piece meas 14 in. from beg, ending with a WSR.
Shape armholes:
BO 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each end every row 6 times – 48 (52, 56) sts. Work even until armholes meas 7-1/2 (8, 8-1/2) in. Place sts on a holder.
FRONT:
Work same as Back until armholes meas 4-1/2 (5, 5-1/2) in., ending with a WSR – 48 (52, 56) sts. Shape neck (RS): K 17 (19, 21) sts, join a second ball of yarn and BO center 14 sts, work to end. Working both sides at the same time with separate balls of yarn, at each neck edge dec 1 st every row 3 times. Work even until armholes meas same as Back. BO rem 14 (16, 18) sts each side.
FINISHING:
Block pieces to measurements. Join shoulders using 3-ndl BO. Neckband: With RS facing, using circular ndl, PU and k 60 (64, 68) sts around neck edge including sts on holders. Join and work around in k 1, p 1 rib for 2-1/2 in. BO in rib. Armband: With RS facing, using circular ndl, pu and k 66 (70, 74) sts around armhole. Do not join. K 2 rows. BO knitwise on WS. Sew side seams. |

BOA: With size K hook, work a foundation ch approx 50 in. long, measuring ch slightly stretched.
